We are thrilled and grateful to have been recognized for LightFair’s e-newsletter.

More than a trade show, conference and networking event, LightFair is a community. In the uncertain weeks and months following March 2020, this became clearer than ever. The lighting industry looked forward to and depended on the convergence of education, ideas, inspiration, products and people to connect, learn, close deals, pitch projects, build relations, forge partnerships and experience the unrivaled camaraderie of our community. The void resulting from the cancellation of LightFair and other trade shows and conferences begged to be filled.

While nothing can replace the physical experience of an in-person event, at LightFair, we knew we had to do something to help the lighting community connect and engage with each other through the lockdown.

Among other efforts, in November 2020, we launched our e-magazine: “The future. Illuminated.” We reached out to past LightFair attendees, speakers, lighting industry thought-leaders, educators and other supporters of LightFair to collaborate with us in creating and distributing engaging, relevant, educational and inspirational content for the lighting community. This included interviews, career profiles, project case studies, opinion pieces and perspectives. Through LightFair’s e-magazine and blog (launched February 2021), we aspired to provide a platform for conversation and inspiration featuring some of the same voices and faces one would see and learn from at LightFair.

This experience of sourcing ideas and topics, and featuring a wide range of content has been fulfilling and enriching for us – the LightFair editorial team, and from what we’ve heard, for the lighting community. Our contributors, collaborators and readers benefit from the exchange of ideas and knowledge on this platform.

Two years in, while our journey has barely begun, we are pleased to report the steady progress we’ve made:

Through our e-magazine/blog, LightFair continues to be a collaboration and inspiration hub for the lighting community year round, beyond the physical event, now on a biennial schedule. The CMA recognition speaks to our commitment to the lighting community, and inspires us to elevate our efforts.

We’d love for you to join us as a reader and participant. We’re always looking to feature new and interesting stories. Learn more about being featured.
